Below are some design samples I created using: Blender, Photoshop & Illustrator:
3D render of Eukaryotic Initiation Factor 2A molecules (PDB 8DYS)—a human protein involved in initiating protein synthesis on ribosomes.
Mu Opioid Receptors (PDB 4DKL) play a crucial role in pain and pleasure. When activated, these receptors bring pain relief and a feeling of euphoria or elation. They can be activated by endorphins (produced by our body), or by external substances such as opioids (heroin, morphine). Their prolonged activation leads to Opioid Addiction. The above image was made using Geometry Nodes in Blender.
3D representation of Natural Killer cells—immune cells that participate in early defense against tumor and microbial infections. The 3D render was made using Geometry Nodes in Blender.
An animation showing correlation of breathing rhythms with brain rhythms, and different brain regions involved. This was made using Illustrator and Photoshop, as a reference image for a blog that I wrote.
3D render of a RNA binding protein (PDB 4OZS)—proteins that interact with different types of RNA molecules in the cells to execute a wide variety of gene regulation functions.
Graphene sheet made in Blender.
